Distributed Dynamic Pricing of Multiscale Transportation Networks

We study transportation networks controlled by dynamic feedback tolls. focus on a multiscale model, whereby the dynamics of traffic flows are intertwined with those routing choices. The latter influenced current state network as well tolls in system planner. prove that class decentralized monotone flow-dependent allows for globally stabilizing around generalized Wardrop equilibrium. In particular, our results imply using marginal cost tolls, stability is guaranteed social optimum assignment. This particularly remarkable such can be computed fully local way without need any global information about structure, its state, or exogenous loads. Through numerical simulations, we also compare performance constant offline (and centrally) optimized both asymptotic and transient regime, investigate their robustness to delays.
